City Platforms and Data Spaces

This Thematic Group provides a global platform for cities to explore how digital technologies—particularly urban data spaces and interoperable city platforms—can drive sustainability, innovation, and smarter public services. The group investigates how urban data spaces act as trusted environments where data can be securely shared and reused across sectors. This enables evidence-based decision-making, collaborative urban planning, and the co-creation of responsive public services—while unlocking opportunities in the data economy.

Co-leaders: Maike Salize (UNECE), Daniel Vega Díaz (FEMP)Ernesto Faubel (City of Valencia) and Ramon Ferri (Deloitte)
